David Agnes

I chose to learn about David Agnes he was only 46 years old when his life was taken! He was a devoted father and had the ability to charm anyone with his laugh. He was engaged to be married in a couple months when he passed away. He was a caring and compassionate man which inspired him to go on a 120 mile bike ride to raise money for MS and also cancer research. I'm convinced if the world had more people like David the world would be a much better place to live in. He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald in the world trade center. He devoted a large portion of his life to watching his daughter play soccer from the time she was little all the way through her college years where she playe at Holy Cross. He was a lover of sports and its a shame that someone as great as David had to pass away on such short notice. He was a great man and father and my heart goes out to the family because not only did a daughter lose a father but the family as a whole lost such a great man who would do anything for them. I learned a lot from David because he showed me the right way to live your life. He showed me how to be a caring father and how to make everyone around you respect you. It truthly is a shame that someone like him had to pass away because he sounds like a great person, he sounds a lot like my father. He would be just a bit older than my dad but they have some of the same qualities in each other. I would have loved to meet David he sounds like a great man and I'm so sorry not only his family but his community lost someone like him.

  1. It is very sad that this mans life was taken at such an early time. I can only imagine what he could of accomplished in his life. It sounds like David and his daughter were very close, I cannot even imagine how she took. 9/11 trully affected the nation not just New York.

  2. I can't even imagine how his daughter felt losing him. He sounded like a great guy. It's amazing how much you can relate to someone who died during 9/11 when you didn't even know who they were a few days ago.

  4. I couldn't imagine losing my dad, I can't even begin to think how his daughter felt. I also feel bad for his fiancé. It's so hard to even imagine how his whole family feels.

  5. David sounded like a great man; biking to raise money and devoting time to supporting his daughters sport. I agree that if we had more people like David on this world it would be a better place. It is so tragic to see a death in such a celebratory time as engagement.
