Robert Grant Norton
Robert Grant Norton was the oldest person to die at the 9/11 tragedy. Robert Grant Born in May 11, 1916 in Maine. Norton and his wife Jacqueline were on their way to his son wedding ceremony on flight 11 and at the age of 85 when the plane hit.. He had served during WWII in the navy and was always helping neighbors in need. He has been described as a soft spoken man who was devoted to his family and enjoyed being in his garden.

Such a sad way to die after what appears to be a good life. I am curious about his son, and what has happened with his family since the tragedy. I'm sure the wedding was postponed, or maybe didn't happen. Many lives ended that day, and even more were changed.
ReplyDeletewhat a horrible tragedy. Its sad that he was on his way to his sons wedding and had to end his life like that. It would be terrible news to get that for your wedding and horrible news to hear what had happened to your parents and NYC. A very sad story.

ReplyDeleteI do not even want to imagine how the reaction of his son when he got the news. It must have been horrible. Your wedding which is one of the happiest days in your life being overtaken by the grief of losing both parents in such a tragic way.
