Wow! That's basically what I can say about your guys presentation because it was of the chart. You two did a magnificent job i love the art work and your own pics you used that was a great idea. Maybe you guys could have connected that with the great depression more but overall great work!
ReplyDeleteFirst I believe you guys had one of the best presentations so far. I liked how you put your own pictures into the presentation and how you presented them. Also I liked the person you did it on, Dorthea. I had never heard of her before, I had seen some of her pictures but never really took the time to look at who took the picture. I learned that she had a really tough childhood and that it was probably really awful for her. That is sad how her own mother was ashamed of her. But I really liked how you showed us some of her work, the pictures really showed some amazing emotion. Maybe if you would either add a little more video into the video that you had but other than that I thought your presentation was awesome and I liked everything about it. Charity, you are a very good artist and Manal, you are a good photographer. Very good presentation and very informative.
ReplyDeleteI really liked all the pictures you provided and the pictures that you guys tried to remake. I also liked Chairty's drawing of the most famous picture she had. It really showed that you put a lot of effort into this project. The only suggestion I would have is to speak up. You have softer voices so at some points it was a little hard to hear. A very well done job!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way that you used the picture in the end. it showed really how tough the time was during that era. you had a very good attempt to replicate by the free hand drawing and the camera still pictures was really good I liked that. one thing was maybe less facts on the first few slides but other than that it was very good!
ReplyDeleteHonestly I didn't know anything about this woman and she shares the same birthday as me. The whole prestation I was learning. good description of emotion, health, and her awards. The pictures were deep and touching. Only thing I suggest maybe replace the 2 or 3 of the pictures were blurry.

I can tell a lot of work and effort went into this presentation, especially with recreating the photos and drawing one of the photos, both of which were really good. Your presentation itself seemed well rehearsed and you spoke clearly. I really don't have anything bad to say about your presentation.
ReplyDeletei really liked your presentation. all of the pictures were really fun and informative to look at i think it really added to the presentation. i think you could have done without the video because you told us mostly what was on it. the picture you drew was amazing, really nice work!
ReplyDeleteGreat job you two. The pictures and drawing really added a lot, I really enjoyed them. My only comment would be maybe a different choice of video. It did not really add much.
ReplyDeleteYou guys did a great job! Your effort really showed, it was nice to see your own personal creation in your project. Both were very well done. If there were one thing you should have changed, it would be to take the video out. Your presentation had enough information and the video was not needed however this is a small change.

I was so impressed with all of the information that you had and how you tied in pictures with all of your points, it really showed that you had a really good understanding of your topic. My favorite part was the photos that Manal took and the drawing that Charity did. These things really showed that you two had interest in your topic. The only suggestion I would make would be to speak up, but other than that it was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou two had an awesome presentation! I loved the creativity you used to recreate the photography, very original. I also thought your presentation was very well rehearsed and organized. I could hardly think of anything you could improve but maybe just find a better transition between your video and the slide show.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea who Dorothea Lange was until your presentation, but I am now quite sure I have seen her pictures. I thought her story was amazing and you did an excellent job of telling it. She came from a broken home, had a bad disease that left her limping, and fought to make a name for herself....well, not for herself but for the families that were forced out of their homes. The ones that needed someone to notice them and their struggles. I applaud her for putting her life on the live to capture such an important part of our history. One thing from the video that stuck out to me was when she said she wanted to take pictures of stuff that was "not moral, but meaningful." I also loved that you put your own personal touch into the presentation with the photographs and drawing. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThe way you recreated the photographs like with the drawing was really good. Learned a lot about this person because before this i never heard of her. Presentation overall was really well done nothing that i can think of at this moment that i would change.
ReplyDeleteI thought that you guys had a good overview of Dorethea Lange's life. I also liked how you the recreation of her most famous piece that Charity did. The presentation was great in almost every way. The only thing I could maybe tell you to change would be a little louder and sound little more excited.
ReplyDeleteI think the presentation was put together very nicely. I learn who Dorethea was and what she did during this time. I think the best part of the presentation was definitely the pictures. I really liked how it's exactly how our book describes the setting. The only think I can think of that you guys lacked was maybe be more enthusiastic even though I also struggle with that and it is one of the hardest things to correct.

You two really helped me understand who she was and her contribution to society during those tough times. I like how you reenacted the photos that she took. That was cool. I think you two had the best presentation. Good job.
ReplyDeletethis was a very well done presentation, i learned who Dorothea Lange was, which i had no idea of until this presentation, they only thing was some of the pictures were blurry, they was a very good and very informative presentation. good job!
