I think that a good title for chapter 18 would be, dead tired . i think the most important quote from this chapter was from the old man Tom was talking to in the river. he said "well, Okie use'ta mean you was from Oklahoma. Now it means you're a dirty son-of-a-bitch. Okie means you're scum..." I think that when he said this it gave the men some doubt about going out west. They had talked to the man before who sort of warnded them about how they need men, but they didn't know what kind of men they needed. Now with this man telling them they will not find steady work they are starting to worry about what will happen when they get there.

The second part of this chapter that struck with me is grandma dying. when she got out of the car and went into the tent i thought that she was going to die then. she hangs on until they get kicked out by the police. she was never really the same after grandpa dies and was just so tired and didnt really want to go on.

Wisdom and knowledge are different things. Knowledge is knowing how to do something and wisdom is being able to figure out how to do something.
