For my presentation project I am choosing to learn about Al Capone, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and finally Upton Sinclair
I'm choosing Al Capone because to be honest mob life is so interesting and you can't get much better than Al Capone. When you think of the mob most people think of Al Capone. He has always excited me and I want to learn more about him. I chose Franklin Roosevelt because he was such a great president for the United States because of everything he did for us. Without him I don't know where the United States would be. Finally I chose Upton Sinclair because I've read bits and pieces of his book "The Jungle" and it was great and I want to learn more about him in general.
I also chose Al Capone, and I was interested in him as a topic because the mob is a interesting topic to me. I have done some research and found out that he would recruit cops that would work for his gang. This just shows how serious his operation of bootlegging alcohol was and how he could even control law enforcement.
