Travis O'Quin - Introduction
Hello! My name is Travis O'Quin and I grew up in a small town near Ostrander, Ohio...a long time ago. I graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 1992, and joined the Navy that same year. I have been to 17 different countries and got paid to do so (Fun Fact). I retired from the Navy on April 30th, 2013, after 20 years 4 months and 16 days of service. I currently work at Wal-Mart as an Inventory Associate and have decided to use my GI Bill to attend college. I am looking forward to this new adventure and am glad to be here, at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY!
My favorite Buckeye is my older sister, Beth. She is 3 years older than me, and when I was a sophomore in high school she began her first year at Ohio State. Of my immediate family, she was the first to go to college. I have always looked up to her for that. She took classes here at the Marion Campus and I recall her always working hard to get good grades so that she could become an elementary school teacher. She continued to pursue that goal and was able to achieve and surpass it. She has been a teacher for 20 years and has gone on to receive her Master Degree. This year she was chosen to take on a new job assignment as a math coach for the Marysville School District. She was the first Buckeye in our family, and I am very proud of her accomplishments.
Here is a picture of me with all of my sisters. Beth is the one on the left. I am equally as proud of my other two sisters, Tressa and Kerry. Notice my Buckeye Pride, even before I knew I would one day be a Buckeye myself!

Hey Travis. I can not remember if the professor said that we needed to reply so I am replying just in case. It is so cool that you have been to 17 different countries. I always wanted to travel to many different countries just to learn about the culture of each country and to see beautiful and historic places. I believe it is important to know about the world and not be completely disconnected from other cultures so that must have been a great experience
